Activities to discover
The South West coast path has 630 miles of dramatic coastline, with
walks to suit all abilities. Walking the coastal path is one of the best
ways to enjoy the North Cornwall coastline breathtaking scenery. Just across the road from Gilbert Lodge you can join the path and enjoy local walks

Surfing and Paddle Boarding
North Cornwall has some of the UK's best surfing beaches and surfing is popular on the amazing beaches. There are surf hire and surf schools within a few miles of Bossiney to suit all ages & abilities. Popular surfing beaches are Trebarwith Strand , Polzeth, Widemouth and Bude.
Harlyn surf school near Padstow offer paddleboarding experiences to try with family or friends.
Horse Riding & trekking
The nearest stable is Tredole Trekking and Riding Stables at Trevalga, Boscastle. You can find more riding stables for all abilities in and around Bude
Activity Days out for Kids

Thrillseekers can get up close & personal with the rugged North
Cornwall coastline and try coasteering, rock climbing, Sea Kayaking
or a power boat trip with Cornish Rock Tors at Polzeath, Cornish Coast Adventures at Port Quin or Atlantic Pursuits based at Bude.
You can try Coasteering right on your doorstep with Outdoor Adventure who run 2 hour sessions at Bossiney Bay.
The exposed coast in North Cornwall has many resident seabird
colonies. The local stretch of coastline has a number of offshore rock
stacks where you may see guillimots, razorbills, fulmars, peregrine
falcons or cormorants. Padstow Sea Life Safari run a variety of marine wildlife spotting boat trips out of Padstow
harbour, where you can expect to see Puffins, Oyster catchers, Dolphins,
Porpoise, sunfish and gray seals.

There are several excellent public golf courses in the area, the nearest is at Bude.
