We spent an incredible week in Gilbert Lodge during August. If you are planning to visit Cornwall, the place to stay is definitely Gilbert Lodge because of the very comfortable, clean accommodation equipped with everything and more in a ordinary home. The lodge provided a very relaxing atmosphere joined with spacious parking and easy access to beaches, towns, castles and more entertaining venues.

Very well appointed and clean lodge in a lovely position minutes from the coastal path and close to towns of tintagel and boscastle. Fully recommend and will probably use again ourselves.
The Lodge is beautifully presented and surprisingly spacious with additionally large decked area. The site itself is very small and quiet and well looked after. Great base with immediate access to the coastal paths with stunning views. Great beaches to choose from and some wonderful pubs and restaurants nearby. We would love to come back and visit again.
An immaculately kept lodge. It was so nice to step into after a long drive. The whole lodge felt so peaceful and clean. As a location it is perfectly set, a short walk to Tintagel by road or the breathtaking cliff walk, a very short and picturesque walk down to Bossiney bay directly opposite, great at low tide. Wherever we went it was always nice to know that we were returning to Gilbert lodge for the evening and could never tire of the view over the Atlantic on the road into Bossiney.
Fabulous stay at Gilbert Lodge in such a beautiful location - As a family of four we have just had a fantastic stay in this perfect lodge on the beautiful North Cornish coast. A real home-from-home feel with lovely decor, great views on the doorstep and plenty of space on a quiet and well-maintained site. Within walking distance of the lovely village of Tintagel with historic castle site, and right on the South West coastal path with a challenging but wonderful walk to Boscastle. The Bossiney Bay beach is also just a walk away down the steep coastal path and the secluded and clean beach is well worth the effort. The location is great for exploring Cornwall and we enjoyed days out to the Eden Project, Looe, Widemouth Bay for an excellent beach, Wadebridge for cycling the Camel Trail to Padstow and Bodmin, Liskeard for karting and Port Isaac. Would highly recommend, everything you could need and would love to return!

Fabulous stay in Cornwall - kids didn't want to leave. We have all fallen in love with the area and Gilbert Lodge was super!! Will be returning soon.
The owners of Gilbert Lodge thought of everything, it truly is a home from home! Our two children ages 4 and 6 didn't want to leave. We had a great time and look forward to returning.
A fabulous holiday that delivered even more than we expected. The lodge is stylish and comfortable with great views of open countryside. The location was ideal for us as it was so close to the beautiful coastal paths but also an easy walk from Tintagel. It is well placed for lots of other attractions and beaches too. We can't wait to return.
Just had the most beautiful 4 nights ever at Gilbert Lodge. Stunning everything is all I can say. Can't wait until October 2016 when we will be back. If not before.
We have just spent an idyllic week in Cornwall at the beautifully appointed home from home that is Gilbert Lodge. Gilbert Lodge is just a few metres from an entrance to the Cornish Coastal path and beautiful sea views, walks and a path leading to a small and peaceful beach and cove. The lodge is very comfortable, the owners have left nothing to chance in either decoration or facilities provided. The lodge would be suitable for a family or a couple. We used it as a base for walking many stages of the coastal path and visiting Cornish treasures. At the end of each day we would return to Gilbert Lodges, sit on the decking of the lodge which catches catch the afternoon and early evening sun and enjoy the lovely location and views.
The lodge is set on a very small, quiet site with views across countryside and farmland. The sound of birdsong in the morning and the calling of a nearby owl each evening were often the only sounds heard. We have returned both refreshed and rejuvenated and have started to plan our next visit, for a next visit there will surely be.

Just spent a lovely midweek break at Gilbert Lodge. It far exceeded our expectations and was situated on a quiet park within an easy walk of Tintagel which has a good choice of pubs, cafes and shops. There is easy access to the coastal footpath and you can explore the likes of Boscastle, Padstow and Bude from here. Would recommend to couples and families alike. We will hopefully return in the near future. Thanks again to Andrea & Tara for our stay in your home from home.
Couldn't want for a better home away from home. As soon as I stepped through the door I started relaxing as it was a comfortable well laid out interior with lovely decor too!

Just back from a wonderful week in Gilbert Lodge. Had everything we could ask for,in a beautiful part of the country.
Thank you for a great holiday
Beautiful lodge in a gorgeous part of the country. Our week here is spectacular. The lodge is beautiful and peaceful. Everything is clearly of a high quality It's spotlessly clean and a larger living space than I was expecting.
Tintagel itself has a plethora of cafes and pubs. We have walked into Tintagel in the evening as it's not far on foot, but there is plenty of parking too. The height of the season may be trickier to find a parking space. There are a couple of restaurants but most of the eateries are lovely pubs and high quality cafes. It's a lovely place to spend a holiday, both the lodge and the stunning Cornish scenery. You won't be disappointed with a stay here.
Beautiful lodge, stunning location. Perfection. When you find this lodge, book it, don't hesitate for a second, you won't be disappointed!
The lodge itself is situated on a quiet, immaculately looked after site in Bossiney, a small parish of the delightful Village of Tintagel in North Cornwall.
The lodge itself is stunning, spotlessly clean with everything supplied to help you settle in. It really is a home away from home.
It has great views over lovely countryside and there was plenty of room directly opposite for our five year old to play football and generally tire himself out (eventually).
Tara the owner is very, very helpful and responds to any enquiries extremely quickly.
Until next time, thank you
Perfect Getaway! Gilbert lodge is all you could possibly want to come back to after a day exploring the wonderful sights of north cornwall. The lodge is very comfortable, well equipped and in a lovely park with beautiful views.
Tintagel is a 15 minute stroll away with great places to eat, lovely shops to browse and the castle and cliffs to explore.
We have had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend this lodge and area for a relaxing holiday.
Beautiful Lodge, Fantastic location.. Immaculately presented, well equipped lodge in a small, quiet park. Fantastic location, just outside Tintagel. Beautiful beaches a short drive away. Can't wait to return.

Our holiday at Gilbert Lodge was a last minute find and we could not have been more pleasantly surprised with the accommodation. Beautifully presented, modern lodge in a fantastic location. Well suited to a family as well as an adult holiday.
Communication with Tara was brilliant and she was incredibly helpful and flexible.
The three of us didn't want to leave and we can't wait to return.
Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Gilbert Lodge is just perfect. Immaculately kept on a 5 star site which is equally immaculate and extremely well maintained. The lodge itself is very spacious and comfortable. Lovely furnishings with some well thought out modern Cornish touches. It has a very well equipped kitchen, which I loved and the decked area outside was bigger than I was expecting too. There is also plenty of wardrobe and storage space, including a hall cupboard to hang coats etc without using up wardrobe space. (Two loos was a surprise as well!)
We found it very peaceful even though it was half term. All the lodges have been positioned to give maximum privacy and space. Parking is right next to each lodge, so no struggling with cases! I honestly don't have any negatives. It really is the perfect place to stay. Thank you
